Recordings and AI processing

Scripta stores recordings, transcripts, summaries and notes on your computer. Its transcription and AI models run locally. We do not upload your recordings for processing or collect their contents as analytics.

Accounts, licences and purchases

Signing in uses Auth0. Our backend stores your account identifier and email, trial dates and licence status. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details are handled by Stripe rather than Scripta. We store payment references needed to activate your licence.

Platform and version information

Updated app versions send their platform (such as Mac or Windows) and app version with the existing licence check. We keep the latest version and licence-check time for each platform on your account. This is not a record of which features you use or how long you use the app. Older versions may not report a platform.

Feedback you choose to send

When you submit feedback, we receive your message, category, account identifier, app version, OS version, hardware model, processor and memory capacity. Recordings, transcripts, notes, logs and device serial numbers are not automatically attached.

Aggregate website statistics

We count public page views, clicks on available download links, and broad referral categories to understand website traffic. Download clicks are not confirmed installations. These counters do not identify unique visitors or link journeys between pages.

Our backend stores daily totals for up to 90 days, without visitor identifiers, cookies, browser storage, device fingerprints, account linkage or individual event records. We do not collect browsing durations, general button clicks, full URLs, search queries, typed text or session replays. Checkout and admin pages are excluded. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable these counts.

Only predefined page, download and referral names are sent. Infrastructure providers may separately process IP addresses and request metadata for delivery and security.

No app usage tracking

We do not collect app feature-use events, recording durations or time spent in the application. Website statistics do not enable any app tracking.

Downloads and infrastructure

Sign-in, licence checks, purchases, initial model downloads and updates use the internet. We use Auth0 for authentication, Stripe for payments, Netlify for the website, Cloudflare for delivery and downloads, and our own API for licensing and feedback. Access to the admin dashboard is restricted to the authorised owner account.

Questions and account data

Contact scriptafeedback@gmail.com to ask about your account data or request its deletion. You can delete local recordings from the app. We retain account, payment-reference and feedback records as needed to provide licensing, support and resolve requests; they are separate from the 90-day website analytics retention.
